Christian Businessman In today’s hectic life styles it’s easy to loose sight of the true priorities in one’s life. Although many things in life are important nothing can compare with the true priority of God and Family. As a born again Christian the peace and daily comfort gained from the knowledge of a place for me in heaven are truly a blessing. Many years ago a godly Mother and a man named Lloyd took the time to explain to me how I could know for sure I was going to heaven. The simple clear words they shared with me from the Bible changed my life forever. Over 20 years ago a coworker on a job gave me a Bible. At first I didn’t read it or really care to. After a while I picked it up and started to read it. One thing in particular caught my attention. The Bible said we would live forever in one of two places. This was a surprise since I had always believed that when you died that’s it, you just stopped existing. The Bible says that when you die you will go to one of two places, Heaven or Hell. I started to wonder where I was going, would it be Heaven or Hell? After reading the Bible I understood that the place I was heading for was Hell. The Bible said that we have all sinned (done wrong) at some point in our lives. ROMANS 3:10 -As it is written there is no one righteous, not even one... ROMANS 3:23 -...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD. The Bible also said that if you sin even one sin, you can’t get to heaven. But the Bible had good news. It says that GOD sent his Son to pay the price for our sins so we could go to heaven. It’s kind of like you are heading to jail for being unable to pay a debt you owe when a loved one steps in and give you a gift to pay the debt you couldn’t. In order to receive this gift you have to accept it first. There is nothing you can do to earn or deserve the gift. It truly is a gift that you have to accept free of charge. The Bible says we deserve to go to Hell because we have sinned but GOD loved us so much that he sent his only Son to pay the price we never could pay. ROMANS 6:23 -For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life in Christ Jesus our LORD. ROMANS 5:8 -But GOD demonstrates His own love for us in this; while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The good news is that if we accept that free gift of Jesus paying the price for our sins we will be saved. ROMANS 10:9 -...that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is LORD and believe in your heart that GOD raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. ROMANS 10:13 -For everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved. You see GOD loved us so much he didn’t want any of us to go to Hell. We can’t save ourselves because the Bible says we are all sinners. GOD sent his sinless Son to pay the price that we couldn’t. John 3:16 -For GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For GOD did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of GOD’S one and only Son. The Bible is true and what it says will happen. Friend, please don’t take a chance on where you will spend all eternity. Hell is a horrible place and the Bible says: REVELATION 20:11 -Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the book was opened, which is the Book of Life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Friend, don’t wait to have your name written in the Book of Life. No one knows when he or she will die. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Ask Jesus to save you right now. Below is a sample prayer you can pray asking Christ to be your Savior.
Dear Jesus: I know that I am a sinner. I know you can save me. Please forgive me of all my sins, come into my heart and save me. Help me to live for you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Friend, if you have just prayed that prayer and meant it, your name is written in the Book of Life and you will be in heaven for all eternity. These verses are for you: JOHN 10:28 -I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. JOHN 5:13 -I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of GOD so you may know that you have eternal life. JOHN 6:40 -For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
